How we think about this place
Track Record is a place to record the reality of your work — quietly, factually, without self-promotion. People earn trust here through what they actually did and what their collaborators say about them, not through volume or self-branding. These guidelines describe the customs that keep that intact.
These guidelines supplement ourTerms of Service. The legal force lives in the Terms.
What we ask
1. Record facts. Don't describe yourself.
Write “In June 2026, I put up the house and took on debt” — not “I am a serious founder.” Self-description is left to others, through Testimonials. This is the core of Track Record.
2. Don't expose other people's facts without their consent.
Posts that name a third party (especially around misconduct, failure, or private life) require care. Records that should stay among insiders belong in a restricted project. Before naming someone in a public log, ask yourself: would I be comfortable if they read this?
3. Testimonials are only for people you actually worked with.
You can only write a Testimonial for someone who was a member of the same project. “I've never met them but they seem nice” isn't a testimonial. Only words rooted in shared work build credibility here.
4. Use “Sugoi” only for moments that were actually decisive.
The Sugoi pin marks moments when something genuinely started moving inside a project. It's not a like button to scatter generously. If you pinned something by mistake, you can delete it while it's still pending (unvalidated).
5. Keep it quiet.
Track Record has no like counts, no follower counts, no rankings. This is by design. Long-term credibility comes from accumulating record, not amplification. Choose the accumulation over the volume.
